Wholesale Channels
Set up a B2B sales channel with trade pricing, payment terms, and bulk ordering.
A wholesale channel gives your trade buyers their own store with different prices, checkout rules, and layout.
How it works
Wholesale channels use the wholesale price column on your variants instead of the retail price. You set both prices on each variant. The right one shows up based on which channel the buyer is on.
Creating a wholesale channel
Go to Channels and click Create channel. Pick Wholesale (B2B) as the type.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | A label like "Trade" or "Wholesale" |
| Domain | The domain for your trade site (e.g. trade.yourstore.com) |
| Theme | You can use a different theme from your retail site |
Checkout
Wholesale checkout has features that retail does not:
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Payment terms | Net 30, Net 60, or prepay. Buyers can order now and pay later |
| PO numbers | A purchase order field at checkout. You can make it required |
| Order minimum | Set a minimum spend per order |
| No guest checkout | Trade buyers must log in |
Set these in the channel's checkout settings.
Product visibility
All products show on the wholesale channel by default. To hide a product from trade, open the product editor and change its channel list in the sidebar.
Pricing
Wholesale prices come from the wholesale_price column on each variant. If a variant has no wholesale price, it will not show on the trade channel.
You set wholesale prices in the same editor where you set retail prices. Both columns are always visible.
