Shipping Labels

Buy, print, and track shipping labels from the order detail page.

You can buy shipping labels directly from the admin panel. Open an order and use the Shipping Label card to see available options, buy a label, and track the parcel.

Buying a label

  1. Open an order that needs shipping
  2. In the Shipping Label card, click Buy Label
  3. The system fetches available shipping options for the order's destination and weight
  4. Select a method and click Buy

The label is created immediately. The order is marked as fulfilled and the tracking number appears on the order page.

Rate sources

The label card shows options from two sources:

Platform rates

These come from the built-in Sendcloud integration. They include a small platform fee. If you have funds in your shipping wallet, a discount is applied.

Your carrier account

If you have connected carrier accounts, their rates appear in a separate section labelled "Your carrier account". These are billed directly to your carrier and have no platform fee.

When you select a carrier account option, two additional controls appear:

ControlOptionsWhen it shows
CollectionDrop-off or PickupAlways
Customs dutiesDAP or DDPInternational orders only

These default to the values you set in Carrier defaults. You can change them per label without affecting your saved defaults.

Drop-off means you take the parcel to a carrier point. Pickup means the carrier collects from you.

DAP means the buyer pays import duties on delivery. DDP means you pay duties upfront so the buyer has no extra charges. DDP is only relevant for international shipments.

Shipping wallet

The shipping wallet is a prepaid balance that gives you a discount on platform labels. Top it up under Shipping > Wallet.

Payment methodWhat happens
WalletCarrier cost + platform fee, minus wallet discount
Pay as you goCarrier cost + platform fee
Own carrierCarrier cost only (no platform fee)

If your wallet balance covers the label price, the discounted price is used automatically. Otherwise, the label is charged at the full pay-as-you-go rate.

Tracking

After buying a label, tracking updates appear on the order page. Platform labels update via webhook in real time. Own carrier labels update hourly via background polling.

Tracking statuses

Cancelling a label

To cancel a label, click the cancel button on the Shipping Label card. Platform labels are cancelled via the carrier and refunded to your wallet. Own carrier labels cannot be cancelled from the admin panel. Contact the carrier directly.

International orders and customs

For international shipments, the label includes customs declaration data. The system pulls HS codes and country of origin from your variant data. If any items are missing customs data, a warning appears before you buy.

You can still buy the label without complete customs data, but the parcel may be delayed at customs.

To add customs data, edit the product variants and fill in the HS code and country of origin fields.

Label PDF

After purchase, the label PDF is available for download from the order page. Click the download icon next to the label details. For platform labels, the PDF is hosted by Sendcloud. For own carrier labels, the PDF is stored on the platform's CDN.

Bulk printing

From the orders list, select multiple orders and use the bulk actions menu to download labels as a ZIP file. This works with orders that already have labels. You can download up to 50 labels at once.
